The Effects of Poor Virtual Assistants on Good Virtual Assistants

I've recently been debating whether or not I want to keep working as a virtual assistant. Not due to a lack of employment, but rather because other VAs are acting unethically and providing poor customer service and personal attention. I'm shocked and utterly disgusted.

I must state that not every personal virtual assistant puts the client's needs second to getting paid. In actuality, there are a number of people who actually have excellent work ethics, truly listen to their clients, and take pleasure in what they do, not just for the money but also for the sound in their clients' voices when their level of stress has been greatly reduced. I commend them for conquering the difficulties that poor virtual assistants are posing for us.
I have already observed a lot of individuals griping about their virtual assistants this week. A VA was hired by one person, who fired her after four days. Another person is so frustrated that he is ready to give up on virtual assistants’ altogether because they are not providing them with the personalized attention and customer service that they should be.
What in the world are virtual assistants (VAs) who genuinely care about their clients meant to do when so many VAs are disparaging us? I've seen virtual assistants discuss educational requirements for VAs, but even that won't help. Schools cannot instruct virtual assistants on how to incorporate moral principles into their work. They must acquire that knowledge on their own. They must master the finer points of abilities like establishing and putting into practice solid ethics and prioritizing the customer over the income.
It has been marketed that all you need to be a successful virtual assistant is a computer, internet connection, printer, and telephone. This is one of the reasons I believe there are so many individuals interested in being virtual assistants. To my surprise, I only recently came across a blog post with the headline "Earn Big Bucks (Right Now) by becoming a Virtual Assistant." While all you need to start working as a virtual assistant is a computer, an internet connection, a printer, and a phone, these things alone won't make you a good virtual assistant.
I can also promise that you won't become wealthy simply by claiming to be a virtual assistant and opening your "doors." Being an effective personal virtual assistant is doing the following, not just claiming you will: listening to clients, learning about their needs, and going the extra mile rather than cutting corners. Why not come up with a strategy so you may provide them with the assistance they require without breaking their budget if they are in severe need of your assistance but cannot afford the $40 per hour that you charge. Consider sitting down with them instead than shoving them aside when they say, "I need help with this, this, and this, but I can only afford to pay you this."
