Every businessman strives to make his business the best in the world. He
hires many employees as the business grows. The purpose to hire
employees is to distribute the many different demands of a business and
make it grow. The first employee that becomes necessary for every
business is the assistant. Since the business owner has a lot of
responsibilities to handle, he needs an assistant to help him. The
assistant would be allocated the task to handle the official email,
respond to customer queries and make a schedule of meetings. But when
the business is in the initial stages i.e. being a small business,
hiring a full time employee would be a burden on the budget. That is why
it is always recommended to hire a virtual administrative assistant because it would be the least burden on the business expenditures.
When
you hire a full time assistant who spends time at the office, there are
many factors which raise the expenses. The first and foremost, is the
space required to place the table and chair of the assistant. This means
you would require a bigger office to accommodate. With a bigger office
you would require to pay more rent plus you would require more
electricity. When you consume more electricity, you would be paying more
bills. The next thing that comes as a boulder on your shoulders is the
salary. With the salary comes in the employee benefits and his
allowances too and not to mention the taxes that are added. These
expenses start eating up the profits and instead of growing and
expanding, which is why you hired an assistant in the first place, the
business growth slows down because lack of funds means lack of
opportunities to expand and you may regret the idea of hiring an extra
hand.
On the other hand, when you employ a remote assistant, you expenses are not raised. The remote person is not responsible to come at the office. He works from his own office where he operates from and it is not your (business owner’s) responsibility to worry about the table he sits at or the chair that he uses. You are not responsible of the space he has to work nor is it your concern how much electricity he consumes, plus you are also free of the coffee expenses that he drinks while sitting at his own desk. You get your work on time and in the required manner, and all you pay is a single fee that covers all his benefits and expenses. So in reality, hiring a virtual administrative assistant is a better choice than a full time employee unless you have money to burn.
